Join us on June 12 & 13 for the Dodson two-day fishing school.

This two-day course will get you started on the right path to fly fishing success. Day 1 will be mostly classroom instruction where we will go over all the equipment- rods, reels, lines, waders, and boots. We will discuss the different types of flies and the techniques we will use to fish them. After lunch, the instructor will teach you all the proper knots and rigging techniques you will need while on the river. Then we will venture outside to learn to cast a fly rod. We will end the day with a friendly question and answer segment.

Day 2 we will meet on a beautiful piece of private water that we will have all to ourselves. We will break up into small groups and put all that knowledge into practice under the watchful eyes of one of our instructors. We will learn how to successfully fish dry flies, nymphs, and streamers. Our instructors will help you learn how to read the water, wade safely, and hopefully catch and release some big trout.

If you don’t have gear, don’t worry. We can provide gear for your day of fishing. We will also give you a $50 store gift card to purchase some items you may need. The only other expense will be a fishing license that you will need to purchase to fish. Transportation to and from the fishing site will not be provided.

Class size is limited to 4 participants and payment is due 1 week before the class.

The cost of this fun-filled weekend is $395/ person.
